Seven Locks has maintained a strong dive team over many years, often winning the Championships of competitive divisions in Montgomery County.

Seven Locks welcomes you to another fun filled summer season in 2011!

Dual Meets are on Sundays at 5:00 pm. 

Head Coach:  Mallory Donahue

We are so happy to have Mallory Donahue return as Head Dive Coach for Seven Locks in 2011.  Mallory has been coaching for five years. She came to Seven Locks Dive team in 2007 as an assistant coach. She became Head Coach in 2010.   She has loved all her time coaching at Seven Locks as well as diving for them. She is looking forward to another great season.

Assistant Coach:  Ally Russo

Ally Russo will return as Assistant Dive Coach in 2011.  Ally has been a member of Seven Locks since 2004. Ever since she joined the pool, Ally knew she wanted to dive and has been diving for Seven Locks ever since. In 2009, she began to assist the coaches as a "junior coach" and became an assistant coach in 2010. She has participated in the Divisional Championships every year since she joined and has participated in several All-Star meets as well. In addition to her summer diving experience, Ally also dives for Georgetown Visitation and will continue diving in her senior year as Captain.

Assistant Coach:  Matthew Pugliese

Seven Locks welcomes Matthew Pugliese as a new assistant Dive Coach this year.  Matthew swam and dove for Gonzaga College High School and competed in WMPSSDL and METRO championships in 2008, 2009, and 2010, serving as a captain of both teams his senior year. This is Matthew's fourth summer at Seven Locks, first one as part of the coaching staff. Matthew is going into his second year at Princeton University, where he is a member of the varsity water polo team. 

If your child wishes to try a practice before joining, they are welcome to do so ONLY after paying the $10 insurance fee.  You can download a Dive Team registration form by clicking on the following link:  Dive Team Registration Form.

The 2011 fee is $110 (this includes your $10 insurance fee, and a tee shirt).  This year, we are collecting an additional $40.00 per family to cater two pep rallies.

Because we only have two home Dive Meets, we will be asking for food donations to sell during those two meets as well as volunteers to help with food sales.


 Referee and Judge Clinics -- Parents are Needed!

We need parent volunteers in a number of capacities in order for the meets to run smoothly.  If you are interested in being a referee or a judge, MCDL offers training for these two positions in the form of Officials Clinics.  The training is valid for 3 seasons.  There is no need to register for these clinics. Just show up!  The 2011 Officials Clinic Schedule is:

Sunday, June 12, 11:00 am. Ashton

Tuesday, June 14, 6:00 pm. Old Georgetown

Saturday, June 18, 4:00 pm. Calverton

Thursday, June 23, 6:00 pm. Glenwood
 

The clinics last about an hour.  If you would like to judge, but can only judge the first half or the second half of the meet, no  problem!  We can work around your schedule.
