Welcome to the Home of the
Seven Locks Sharks Swim Team!

The Seven Locks Swim Team is a great way for kids to spend the summer at the pool.  Team members participate in swim meets, practices and social activities such as potluck dinners, team breakfasts and trips.  The team focuses on creating a positive family atmosphere where children can develop their swimming skills, build overall confidence and form lasting friendships.  It’s an excellent way for kids – and their parents -- to get to know other families at the pool.  We welcome all kids between the ages of 5 and 18, regardless of experience.  Pick up registration forms at the pool's front desk, or click on the link below to download the form.

 In 2010, Seven Locks will compete against other teams in MCSL’s Division F.

You should be able to see the Swim Team picture as the opening page. Enter the site and you’ll be able to see the other photographs. Once you decide on a photograph, click on the “order” button. It will show you prices and different packages available. The Digital composite is two photographs in one picture. Swim & Dive Team Update
July 19, 2010

 
Thank you volunteers!
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who volunteered this week! Whether it was timing, officiating, working at the snack bar, or donating food items, you really helped out. This has been a crazy week and we appreciate that everyone chipped in. 
 

B Relay Carnival: Away at Somerset July 21:  Wednesday's B Relay Carnival will be at Somerset Pool. Please write your name on the sign up sheet at the pool if you wish to participate! Any swimmer who didn't swim in the A Relay Carnival is elidgible to swim at the B Relay Carnival. Swimmers and parents may also e-mail Nicole to register for the B Relay Carnival (nicfish512@gmail.com).  Don't hesitate to ask the coaches if you have any questions!

Pep Rally/Yos and Hos Breakfast: Friday July 23: On Friday morning we will have this weeks pep rally in conjunction with our annual Yos and Hos Meet! The team will be split into two teams (the Yos and the Hos) and will compete in events such as dolphin dives, tshirt relays, and water polo. The team will then be invited to a breakfast sponsored by the 9-10 age group after practice. (Parents please sign up to feed the hungry crowd!) We will decorate cars with car paint and make posters for divisionals the next morning. Because of this event, there will be no pep rally that afternoon!
 
Pre-Team Party: Friday July 23:
On Friday, the Pre-Team will celebrate their amazing season with an ice-cream party at 3:30. We will award certificates to all the members as we commemorate our fun summer! *We will not be swimming that day*

 A Meet: *DIVISIONALS* Away at Country Glen Saturday, July 23:  This Saturday, July 23 we battle all divison F teams at Country Glen at Divisionals. In this meet, the top two swimmers in every event from our team will swim. We will be caravaning over to Country Glen from Seven Locks, so please arrive at Seven Locks by 6:10AM. We will begin warm-ups at 6:40. The list of swimmers who are swimming in Divisionals is posted at the pool and we have emailed the lineup as well. 
 
The theme for this weekend is team colors - please wear your team shirts!

Also - please come and support the Seven Locks Sharks even if you are not swimming that day! We would love to have a huge cheering squad.

Swim and Dive Team Banquet, Saturday July 23:
Also on Saturday, we will hold our annual Swim and Dive Team Banquet. This year's theme is 70s! The groovy Banquet will begin at 6pm with dinner and later we will be treated to awards, senior appreciation, and the slide show. Please sign up to bring food and to help set-up and clean-up! Be there or be square!

Reach for the Wall:  This summer, the Washington Post is following MCSL swimming at www.reachforthewall.com.  Here you can find anything you'd ever want to know about summer swimming, including team and individual results.  Go to the Seven Locks page and you can find a season box score for the team.  You can see detailed results by individual swimmer, too.  It's an invaluable resource for the swimming family!
